Roleplay example:
Kieth loped across the moors, the strong breeze ruffling his fur and he closed his eyes. He felt something-no, someone-crash into him and send them both tumbling to the ground. "Watch where yo-" Kieth started to growl. Then he realised who it was. "Hello Saru." He added cheerfully.
"You didn't see me coming," she giggled as she got up and shook twigs and leaves from her pelt. The wind shifted directions and Kieth caught a whiff of deer. He flicked his eyes to Saru to see if she had scented it, but she was already running. He ran after her and caught up easily. As they got closer, the scent got stronger.
He stopped under some bushes, the branches and leaves hiding his pelt. Saru rushed off to the other side, she was going to herd them toward him and they would attack simultaneous. As she leaped up and began chasing them, Kieth heard a noise, like a twig cracking under the paws of a large wolf. At the sound, the herd scattered and fled.
At that moment, a wolf launched himeslf at Kieth and flipped him. He saw a strange glint in the wolf's eyes and knew what was going to happen. He pushed with his hind legs and kicked the wolf off him. Then he saw at least a dozen wolves. They were all black or dark grey, and there was no sign of Saru.
Something caught his eye before another wolf crashed into him. Then, out of the darkness Saru leaped at the wolf and pushed him off Kieth. She jumped over the other wolf and sliced him from behind. Before it could get her, she veered to the side so the wolf only touched air.
He spun around and spotted a very large wolf coming toward him. "Father!". A sneer crossed his father's face. "You are no son of mine! Running off with this killer!" He looked at his father, then spoke, his voice low and steady. "It was you! Wasn't it? You killed the alpha and his mate." A small smile played across the other wolf's lips. "So you finally found out did you. Going to tell the other wolves are you." Another wolf came up from his side. "They'll never believe you," his voice had an eager tune to it, as if he wanted to rip him to shreds. Which he probably did.
The wind picked up and became a strong breeze, then lightning appeared in the sky. Thunder boomed and Kieth looked away from his father's face. He heard a whimper behind him and turned around. Saru was pinned to the ground, blood trickling from her wounds. Enraged, Kieth attacked the wolf, tearing every bit he could find. The wolf slipped out of his grasp and ran off. Then something hit Kieth hard in the stomach and everything turned black...
